According to Tweakers.Net Dell is going to release a new XPS 15 laptop in Quarter 2 of this year which means any time between April the 1st and June the 30th, Although we expect it to be in late April when Ivy Bridge gets released. The revised chassis design is 24.2mm thick which is down from 38.2mm on the current XPS 15 laptops. Dell have equipped these laptops with full HD LED backlit 1080p screens protected by “Gorilla Glass”.
The next-gen XPS 15 laptops will contain either a Core i5-3210M or Core i7-3612M CPU along with up to 16GB of RAM. Storage options include either a 1TB mechanical hard drive or a 512GB solid state drive. Graphics are courtesy of Nvidia and the Kepler 28nm series, a GeForce GT 640M or GT 630M are the options here. Connectivity is a 3-in-1 card reader, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, and both HDMI and mini DisplayPort outputs. Pricing and release dates are still unknown.
