Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

I can go out and spend £100+ on headphones and get something really great. However, at just £55.99 in the UK and $70 in the US. the RevoNext QT3 certainly have some appeal. They’re almost as good as most audiophile grade drivers and just as good with the right amp/EQ combo but at a fraction of the price. They’re a big step up from the “premium” headphones often bundled with modern smartphones and mobile devices. Furthermore, they knock the pants off consumer brand headphones of a similar price.

Overview

The RevoNext QT3 certainly have a lot of appeal to them. They’re certainly not perfect, but any minor issues I’ve had with them have been quickly swept aside due to their competitive pricing. For example, I found the fit to be difficult to get just right. Swapping the earbuds did help a lot, and if you use the wrong ones, they sound dreadfully weak and treble heavy. However, spend some time to get that angle right, get used to how to put them on and wrap the cable around your ears, and that is soon fixed. It’s not as easy as just popping them in your ears though.

Burning Them In

The brightness of the drivers did subside after a little use. I ran some pink noise through them for a few hours at high volume. This really helped the sound a lot from there on, although they were still a little bright for me. Again, that’s a subjective quality of the sound, you may love it. Personally, I still tweaked the midrange on the EQ and found them to be even better for it.

Powerful

The sound has plenty of kick to it though, and where many in-ear drivers struggle, these excel. Small drivers can often struggle to keep up with frantic bass heavy music and often affects the treble when they try. That’s not the case here, no doubt thanks to the quad-driver design, allowing each to handle each part of the frequency range independently of each other.

Build Quality

Literally, the strongest aspect of the QT3 is how well they’re made. It’s the first time I’ve seen detachable cables on in-ears in this price range too. You really get some premium quality materials, construction and design here. For that alone, I highly recommend these for anyone wanting premium quality on an affordable budget. Of course, the crystal clear sound quality helps with that recommendation also.
