There will always be a portion of the modding community which prefers to ask the question as to whether something can be done rather than should be done. In fact, the vast majority of them in my experience. Following a video posted by Twitter user “@SuperLouis_64“, however, if you were ever curious as to whether you could play Overwatch using your Nintendo Ring Fit controller… Well, now you have the answer and, with a few limitations, it’s surprisingly yes!
Now, as you might expect, the Nintendo Ring Fit controller has primarily been designed for use as a fitness tool for the very specific ‘game’ it’s bundled in with. However, through a little modification, it can be used surprisingly well as a controller to play Overwatch.
While there are clearly always going to be some limitations, such as walking backwards being difficult and strafing being impossible, as you can see below, it still works surprisingly well to move around, shoot, and even activate your characters abilities. If anything, the only major limitation seems to be your fitness as playing Overwatch with this clearly knackers you out pretty quickly!
It’s wild, wacky, and almost completely impractical. So in other words it’s pretty much everything we’ve come to both expect and love from this portion of the modding community. – If you do, therefore, want to see what this guy comes up with next, you can check out his official Twitter channel via the link here!
