Final Thoughts

Pricing

The Riotoro 240mm BiForce AIO CPU Liquid Cooler is available now from most major retailers. I found it on Amazon for just £93.01, which isn’t the cheapest AIO on the market, but it’s pretty competitive and cheaper than a few of the big names on the market.

Overview

Many consumers are no doubt sceptical of a new name when it comes to buying anything. However, Riotoro are off to a pretty good start with the BiFrost. It’s a little bit cheaper than some of the bigger brand names on the market, and it’s pretty competitive concerning its cooling performance. Is it perfect? Not really, but few products are. That being said, there’s nothing wrong here that I would call a deal breaker.

Performance

At stock, any CPU cooler should be able to keep your chip cool, that’s the easy stuff. Overclocking was no issue for the BiFrost either. It was able to hold our Intel i7-7700K at 5GHz with zero issues. What’s most surprising is that it didn’t kick up any more noise from the fans. If anything, you could dial down the fan RPM to a silent product with minimal loss in performance and a quieter cooler.

Build Quality

This is most definitely the strong point for the BiFrost. The radiator is a durable aluminium block, no surprises there. The hoses are durable and thick, yet still easy to flex and fit in your system. Finally, the CPU block is really robust, with a chunky metal design and a well-fitting mounting kit. It’s ticking all the right boxes. If I could tweak one thing, it would be to not pre-apply the thermal paste and include a tube. Of course, that’s hardly a deal breaker.

Pros

  • Cool aesthetics
  • Good socket support
  • Quiet pump
  • Good overclocking performance
  • Easy to install
  • Thermal paste included
  • Good price

Cons

  • None

Neutral

  • Fan RPM too high by default
  • Pre-applied thermal paste
