Given that this is such a high-powered PSU, it’s important to know that this is being delivered in a good and efficient way. In terms of the voltage regulation, so far, so good.

As you can see in the charts below, the results were exceptionally consistent. We’d draw particular attention to the +12V rail which shows hardly any inconsistency at all. Given that this is the most important rail, it’s a hugely positive start to the testing here!

Power Efficiency

As this is a gold-rated power supply, there are certain levels of efficiency that this much reach. Based on the results we found, the Riotoro Builders Edition easily warrants it’s gold-efficiency certification. As can be seen in the charts below, efficiency, no matter the power output, never drops below 90%. This is much higher than is required of the ‘gold-standard’ and speaks volumes of a truly excellent design.

Power Factor Correction

The PFC ratings for the Riotoro Builders Edition PSU were a little unusual. Firstly, it’s unusual to see a dip in the middle of the table. More than that though, this power supply never drops below 0.97 in terms of PFC results. Just to put this into context, we’ve seen many power supplies that never achieve a maximum rating close to this. The power correction is near perfect, no matter what load you are putting through this PSU.

This is, without a doubt, the best PFC test results we’ve seen.
