Riotoro‘s CR1088 Prism case which they previewed at Computex is finally available in the UK. It shares some of the basic features of the original CR1080 ATX but has an updated look. The internals have a dual-chamber design, isolating the PSU section from the rest of the main motherboard chamber. This allows for better cable management and thermal levels. The mini-tower case measures 230 mm wide by 394 mm deep and is 360 mm tall.
The cooling system at the front supports 2 x 120mm fans (1 x 120mm fan included), while a single 80mm fan can be mounted in the rear. The entire front has a high-airflow mesh design, with a strong red accent goinin the middle. The motherboard inside actually mounts in a reverse ATX and is upside down. A full ATX power supply is supported since it is on the other compartment.
Maximum video card length supported is 300mm, which is more than enough for even high-end dual-GPU solutions. The CPU cooler height however, is a bit more conservative at only 122mm, although since the front supports 2x 120mm fans, a 240mm radiator can go there.
The Riotoro CR1088 Prism is now available in UK retailers AriaPC for £73.43 inc. VAT or at CCL Online for the same price.
