CR500 looks pretty neat and tidy now that it’s built, but it wasn’t without its flaws. For example, there are three lovely cable grommets to the right of the motherboard. Unfortunately, they’re now behind the motherboard, rendering them completely useless. Fortunately, there are some basic holes cut here to compensate, but still… seems a waste.
A massive GPU is clearly no issue for the CR500. There’s room for the ultra-wide cooler designs on the market today, and with 400mm of clearance, length isn’t an issue either.
CPU cooler clearance is pretty good too, and most air coolers should fit with ease. You could get an AIO in the front or rear, but ideally, I would keep this chassis air cooled.
The cable routing issues aside, the actual cables ended up looking neat and tidy. There’s plenty of room in there, and good airflow from those front fans. The window gives you a fantastic view of the components on the interior too, so it’s perfect for showing off your system build.
The LED lighting isn’t too overpowering, and that’s a good thing. I like it a little more understated, and if you like it brighter, there’s a lot of products out there to let you achieve that easily enough.
A few minor issues, but overall, this is a fantastic looking system at a reasonable price. Plus, that Riotoro logo looks pretty slick in the bottom corner.
