Rise of the Ronin Patch 1.09.0.3 Release Notes

KOEI Tecmo and Team Ninja have just released the latest patch for Rise of the Ronin. This update contains many changes, most notably aiming to bring further performance optimisation to the game and address numerous bug fixes that have been causing players issues since the game’s PC release, which came out about a month ago. Some of these changes include addressing loading issues, crashes, and visual noise problems during a specific cutscene.
Patch 1.09.0.3
Today’s patch, titled Patch 1.09.0.3 for Rise of the Ronin, introduces a new “Dynamic Adjustment of FPS” option, allowing the game to alter the target frame rate for smoother performance dynamically. The update also includes several optimisation improvements focused on reducing overall VRAM usage and enhancing GPU performance related to Ambient Occlusion and Upscaling. Furthermore, a new error check notice has been implemented to warn players about save data issues, and the game will now automatically pause when the Steam overlay is opened.
The patch also addresses several key bugs. These fixes include resolving issues with rapid graphics setting changes in “Prioritize FPS” mode, excessive CPU load with specific audio settings, and instances where the game would enter slow motion after using the Pocket Watch or restoring Public Order. Additionally, the previously mentioned visual noise in a specific cutscene, loading freezes after restoring public order, crashes during language switching, and the appearance of headless NPCs have all been fixed, alongside other minor bug corrections.
