Developers constantly try to push Microsoft’s Xbox One to its limits to deliver the best graphics in their titles. However, most games share a core platform in the engine that makes them have more or less the same performance. But Brian Horton, Game Director for Rise of the Tomb Raider, says that they can now push the Xbox One even further to deliver ‘stunning’ graphics.

Horton said that their insights from Tomb Raider Definitive Edition allowed them to get everything out of Microsoft’s console. Don’t think it was as easy at optimizing the old stuff though. Horton pointed out that they had to redo everything from scratch, meaning that everything we saw in the old Tomb Raider titles has been completely rewritten.

They apparently haven’t hit any problems with the Xbox One’s nightmarish eSRAM either. Horton told that they were working closely with the Microsoft team and were able to understand the console’s system. There have been a lot of problems in the past for most developers working on Xbox One titles and all of them said that the console’s eSRAM was the main issue.

The biggest news however comes when Horton announced that the title is targeting 1080p and 30fps. While a lot of developers announced them same thing but failed to deliver in the end, Microsoft’s latest Xbox One SKD and the success of titles which followed thereafter tends to bring some hope for full HD on the console.
