Road Rash is one of the most iconic games ever made, it wasn’t one of the best made games ever and it had a few rough edges, but it was on the Sega Megadrive after all and back then it was by fan one of the most fast paced, action filled and entertaining racing titles on the market.
Upgradable super bikes, the ability to weave through traffic, police chases, melee combat while riding, the game had all the action packed entertainment you could need. Unfortunately the game trailed off into obscurity, and it’s been long since forgotten to the gaming history book, at least until now.
The new title is known as Road Redemption, and it’s just completed the initial funding target on Kickerstarter, raising over $160K with just two days left on it’s goal.
The developers at DarkSeas Games have announced two more goals for the game, the first being an XBLA port once they reach $178K and the best feature of all, is Oculus Rift support once the reach $198K! Like I didn’t have reasons to save up for that crazy VR headset already!
The games raking in the funding at the moment via Kickstarter and via direct PayPal donations and this means the game will be coming to PC, Mac, Linux, Wii U, and Xbox Live Arcade, so there are very few reasons why you would miss out on this game come released day.
