Roccat didn’t have a lot to show at Computex this year, but we’re still very excited to share their new Suora keyboard with you. Breaking away from the oversized chassis design of their previous keyboards, such as the rather bulky Ryos (which was awesome btw), the Suora has virtually no bezel around the exterior, giving it a super sleek and space saving profile. With a fully aluminium face plate, the keyboard certainly looks impressive, and the build quality is as robust as we’ve come to expect from Roccat over the years.
The slim chassis means the keys are mounted slightly raised above the chassis, but still maintain a slightly lower profile than most other mechanical keyboards. This means the lighting is nice and clear between the keys, allowing for a nice under-glow effect to be applied when they’re turned up brighter.
At the dimmest setting, the LED lighting is still nice and clear, making it perfect for working in a darker environment.
Even more interesting is that the keyboard uses TTC Brown switches, which are very much like Cherry MX Brown, but don’t cost anywhere near as much. Sure, some may be snobby when it comes to their key choices, but blind test, we couldn’t tell the difference, and wallet test, this keyboard is only £79, so there’s something to think about.
