Roccat Juke Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound Review

A Closer Look

The Juke is nice and compact, just a simple USB header with a short cable and the soundcard component on the end. The compact size means that it takes up little storage space, can be easily transported and doesn’t look too imposing if you had it on the front, or even round the back or your computer.

The USB header is custom shaped, keeping in theme with those used on all other Roccat products.

The Juke is made from plastic and is fairly lightweight, not the kind of thing I would normally associate with high-end audio, but it’s the hardware inside that really matters. There is a small LED light and a Roccat logo on the front.

Around the back, a fairly simple product sticker and not much else really.

Here we have the business end, offering you two clearly colour coded jacks for your microphone and headphones. You could use a dual purpose gaming or chat headset, but there’s nothing stopping you connecting dedicated headphones and a standalone microphone to the Juke. Either way, it’s pretty obvious that configuring the Juke is going to be pretty straightforward.

  1. I only have one complaint, the equalizer. It doesn’t say what values you put it on, and the presets are not good. tried to put the equalizer on special settings, but i couldn’t do it correctly because the equalizer don’t show numbers. You have to use the wonky. bad sliders.
