Packaging and Bundle
Packaging

Unfortunately the version of the device we have received has been sent in slightly different packaging to that of the retail version. This is not unusual but does mean you won’t see the same thing if you were to buy it today.
It is also more unfortunate as I quite liked the Roccat Kone package design. From the front it looks like a prized trophy in a cabinet. It also looks like you could use it as a football and it would survive which is certainly a nice touch. It also includes the main features seen in the technical specifications on the front but mainly focuses on allowing you to see the product.
Although you can’t instantly feel the mouse through the packaging, it has been designed that this front just lifts off to reveal the vacuum packed mouse underneath while making sure you can’t just take the mouse out too easily.
From the back, we can see a nice list of features including those in the technical specifications as well as Customizable Light System’, ‘Clip-in Weights’, Tracking Booster’ and a few others. These continue Roccat’s usual colour scheme of a blue title font on a black background with the rest of the text in a white. At the bottom of the back is the package contents, the technical specifications and the system requirements. It also, which is very useful, lists the documentation languages included. This back page does open up in a book style.
On the inside of this back cover, on the left-hand side are some in depth details of the features, as well as an appraisal from supposedly one of the best gamers in the world not that we don’t believe them, just that it seems a bit generic! On the right hand side of this booklet is the features in 9 different languages.

Inari Case Mission Book with Roccat ID Card

Quick Install Guide
To start off with we will take a look at the extras that come with this mouse. Roccat claim that their mouse, like others, is so light that for most serious gamers they will want to make it slightly heavier, so they have included 4 extra weights that can be clipped in at the bottom of the mouse. These 4 weights (5g, 10g, 15g and 20g) have their own hard case and each weight has a microchip included so the mouse presumably knows which one is installed.
The quick installation guide is a 1-page affair just in a good selection of languages. It shows you how to install the mouse as well as the drivers and how to add and release the weights.
