Roccat Kone XTD Optical Now Available

The Roccat Kone XTD has long been one of my favourite gaming mice, I’ll even go so far as saying it’s the best mouse I’ve ever tested here at eTeknix. A while ago the hardware team at Roccat started fitting their Kone gaming mouse with a superb optical sensor (our review), but my only issue was that the mouse was too small for my hand compared to the XTD. Roccat have finally put together the mouse I’ve wanted for a very long time, the larger ergonomics of the Kone XTD, with the ultra-precise 6400 DPI Pro-Optic (R5) optical sensor.

The mouse comes equipped with Roccats Adjustable Distance Control Unit, and all the usual bells and whistles that make the Kone series so popular. The only bad news is that the mouse is currently only available as a “limited run”, but it is unclear how “limited” it will be, so if you want to get your hands on one, it might not be a good idea to put it off until next year.

“We wanted to make this a special gift to our fans,” says René Korte, CEO and founder of ROCCAT Studios. “The Kone XTD Optical is a unique mouse with a lot under the hood, that maintains all of the expectations gamers that love ROCCAT products have come to expect from the Kone family of gaming mice. We’re proud to bring it to gamers.”

The mouse is available in Europe and Asia for 89,99 Euro and will be available in the US by the end of next month.
