A Closer Look

The design on this mouse is certainly impressive, and it has a very unique look and feel to it overall. The panels are a hard-wearing plastic with a matte finish that gives it a nice premium look and feel. The top panel in a single split piece, while the side buttons and panels are individual, giving it an almost armoured appearance.

Down the left side, you’ll find two control switches, which are fully programmable.

The mouse is ambidextrous, with a nice symmetrical design that provides a good grip for fingertip and claw grip play styles. However, the raised back also lends well to palm rest, so you’ve got a good range of options here.

The right side, two more buttons, which is no surprise since I said it’s symmetrical. This means left or right-hand use is fine, but either way, you’ve still got two extra buttons to play around with; very handy for macros and other shortcuts.DSC_7042

The left and right mouse buttons are slightly scooped, giving them a good finger resting position, but there is an extra left and right button here too, raised slightly on the edge for easy access.

The mouse wheel is nice and fat and set pretty low into the body of the mouse. It comes with a thick rubber grip coating for ease of use and there’s even an extra programmable button behind it; handy for DPI switching.

The base of the mouse features five large slipmats, which give the Kova fantastic glide on any gaming surface. We tested soft mat, hard cloth and aluminium and it worked really well on all of them.
