Roccat Kulo Stereo Headset Review

Final ThoughtsI like this device because it is small and has a very impressive sound quality, which is a brilliant combination for a headset. The quality of everything on this headset is very high and it feels very well built while certainly not being bulky. The remote is simple and effective and seems to be at the right place along the cable. Unfortunately, it just can’t quite cut it as it is only a stereo headset and so can’t compete with the full 5.1 surround sound headsets especially when it comes to gaming. That said it more than makes up for it in size, weight and build quality.
The build quality and design of the Kulo on its own gives a lot to like about this product, it has a slightly rubberised finish on several sections of the headset which gives it a quality feel. It also has fairly angular edges and keeps the colouring simple which gives it a bold but smart look.
The sound quality and performance is impressive, little to no noise leaks in from the outside world which is an impressive feat especially when they haven’t got fully encompassing ear cups.
The price of approximately £45 is very competitive, although it does put it in the league of a lot of larger stereo headsets which have the potential to give a warmer sound quality, however the Roccat Kulo is a very impressive headset that is well worth its fairly low price tag as it offers a lot of features and good functionality for the money.
You certainly won’t be disappointed with this product as it will make all your music come alive and allow you be fully immersed into games all while keeping your neighbours happy.
Pros:
- Very good clarity at all frequencies
- Gutsy bass
- Very comfortable and light
Cons:
- Bass doesn’t have the warmth and depth
- Liable to stick to your ears sligthly
