Roccat Reveal Their Flagship LEADR Gaming Mouse at CES 2017

Roccat have a lot of great products to show off at CES 2017, but the one that really caught my attention is their LEADR gaming mouse, their latest flagship gaming mouse that takes their extremely cool TYON gaming mouse design to new levels of performance. There’s a new sensor on board, taking the mouse up to 12,000 DPI. This is achived using the new Roccat Owl-Eye optical sensor, which promises zero lag and ultra-low latency in both wired and wireless modes.

The TYON design can certainly be seen in the new mouse, but little tweaks to the overall shape, size, and the button designs have been made based on user feedback to make it feel better than ever. It really does feel better too, as someone who has used the TYON since launch, I love the feel of the new one even more.

“The Leadr gives you the freedom of wireless with the performance of wired. It rocks a combo of pioneering wireless technology and an optimized Owl-Eye optical sensor, meaning gaming with a wireless mouse is no longer a handicap. Zero lag and with virtually zero latency, it features a docking station with a top-cup cable plus an innovative suite of buttons for enhanced control, the Leadr is the wired mouse with no wires, making it wireless royalty.”

The mouse still features the multi-zone RGB lighting for some cool lighting effects, SWARM software support and all the usual macros and launchers we saw with the TYON.

The mouse can be used wirelessly or wired, giving you plenty of options for usage, and you can charge and play using the cable too.

If you don’t want to use the cable to charge, you’ll find a set of pins on the base of the mouse for fitting it into the quick-release charging dock.

The charging dock looks pretty cool too, acting as a display stand for the mouse as well as a practical charger.

The mouse fits on it with ease, and it looks stunning mounted like this.

We’ve already got one on the way to eTeknix HQ, and we look forward to revealing more information about the performance and price of the LEADR very soon.
