Roccat Savu Mid-Size Hybrid Gaming Mouse Review

A Closer Look
The mouse comes hard-wired with a high quality braided cable and a custom share USB connection.
The left side of the mouse features a very grippy hard textured surface, almost like a very fine sandpaper. It feels pretty good to hold the mouse with and Roccat say it will help you keep your grip even if you have sweaty hands.
There are two glossy black switches on the left side, a SAVU logo and a nice ergonomic ridge that will provide a good resting position for your thumb.
The right side also features the same rough texture grip as the left, while the top part of the mouse features a softer and smoother rubber coating that provides a comfortable palm rest. There is a really cool looking Roccat logo embossed into the right mouse button that adds a nice design touch overall.
The join between the two textures is really close and the whole mouse looks and feels well put together, with no loose or squeaky panels to be found.
At the back we have a strip that lights up thanks to the built-in LED lighting, which can be customised from the Roccat software.
The central scroll wheel has some soft grippy rubber in place, a light “click” when pressed and a chunky, heavily notched rotation that will no doubt prove popular with FPS gamers who like precise weapon changes with a good tactile feedback.
There is a nice ergonomic curve here too that should be suitable for palm rest and claw grip style gameplay, plus the overall shape and design looks really cool, especially the very stealthy colour scheme.
The underside of the mouse is pretty straightforward, two huge Teflon slip mats should provide good glide on most any surface and the 4000DPI sensor in the middle should provide plenty of speed and accuracy.
