Another delay? Yes indeed, Rockstar Games has just announced that GTA V for PC will now be released 2 months later than planned on March 24, 2015. In return for delivering this bombshell, the developer has released some screenshots; something that probably won’t satisfy everyone’s complaints, especially considering the screenshots are from a game that has been available on other platforms for over a year.
“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.” – Rockstar Games
They posted some details of specs, minimum and suggested hardware requirements as well as that the PC version will run “at 1080p and 60fps with up to 4K resolution and support for up to triple monitor configurations, as well as NVidia 3D Vision for up to triple monitor setups.”
As expected, there has been a bit of a backlash in the comments beneath Rockstar’s news release, with many complaining that Rockstar has too much of a habit of delaying things. Well just incase you find yourself fuming in response to this news, perhaps this quote from the legend that is Shigeru Miyamoto might calm you down a little.
“A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.” – Shigeru Miyamoto
