Read Dead Redemption is commonly perceived as a masterpiece and one of the most enthralling video games of all time. In particular, the western setting is awash with small touches which enhance the immersion factor and the character interactions remain fresh throughout the story. As a console exclusive, Red Dead Redemption wasn’t available to PC players and is one of the few titles which encouraged me to invest in an Xbox 360. Even though this was a fairly expensive move for a single game, it was well worth it and I cannot recommend Red Dead Redemption highly enough.
In the weeks leading up to this year’s E3, rumours began circulating regarding a sequel to Red Dead Redemption. Unfortunately, this didn’t come to fruition and left some people feeling a little disappointed. Thankfully, Rockstar has begun their marketing campaign and teased an image with the company’s logo on a red background. This not so subtle message provided an insight into their latest project and created such an air of excitement. Of course, this was only the first step and Rockstar has unveiled another clue which seems to show a number of western characters. Whether this means the next Read Dead Redemption which allow you to play as more than one person in a similar vein to Grand Theft Auto V remains to be seen. Whatever the case, I can’t wait to hear more details.
Information from Hugh Langley, suggests a trailer will be revealed soon and the game in question is indeed, Read Dead Redemption 2.
