Building a system inside the Galaxy-01 couldn’t have been much easier, there’s not exactly a lot going on here, but that’s perfect for the beginner system builders out there, as there’s less to worry about/go wrong. It took me around 15 minutes to get everything screwed into place, which is pretty fast even for me.

There are a few excess cables on show, but they’re out-of-the-way of fans and general airflow, and overall the build looks pretty clean. Of course, with no side panel, aesthetics in here aren’t super important, but a tidy build is never a bad thing.

Since out GPU is side-loading on the power cables, we didn’t route them behind the motherboard, but there’s plenty of room in the base to bundle any excess out of the way.

The motherboard CPU power cable routing hole was covered by the motherboard, so not exactly ideal. We found it more suitable to route the cable around the motherboard, just remember to use a few cable ties to ensure it doesn’t fall down and make contact with the CPU cooler fan.

There’s only a single 2.5″ drive bay here, and you screw it right onto the side of the fixed bays. Below that, you’ll still find a good amount of 3.5″ bays though, so you could always use a 2.5″ to 3.5″ adaptor tray, which cost next to nothing.

All panels back in place and you would barely know we build a system here. You can just about make out a hint of orange from our GPU through the side panel fan mount. Overall, a surprisingly clean-looking build with decent airflow thanks to those three pre-installed fans.
