The gaming world is being taken for a wild ride at the moment as Sony continue to push their gargantuan marketing campaign in the ramp up the PlayStation 4 release. After their somewhat mixed bag announcement, the company has gone on to be very open about their plans, deals with developers and publishers, their hardware, manufacturing and more, and this is something that is slowly but surely winning over the hearts and minds of gamers, its also something that is reflecting badly on Microsoft as the big M refuse to open their mouth about the next gen Xbox, not even to discuss some pretty damaging rumours surround always online connectivity.

This is going to be a seriously powerful console and while some may hark that “Oh PC is more powerful etc etc” its a common misconception that if you own a GTX Titan powered system, that all PC gamers do. Reality is that most PC games are still built with compatibility for old operating systems and no more than 2GB ram. Fundamentally though, I don’t care how PC and Consoles compare, its futile, one thing that is for certain is that the PlayStation 3 is a fantastic console, so a significantly more powerful PlayStation 4 is certainly not a bad idea.
