RTX 3050 6GB Listing Spotted For €245 At Austrian Store

Earlier this month, we saw the rumours surrounding a new 6GB variant of the RTX 3050 which doesn’t really look all that enticing, even from a budget standpoint. Whilst this card is only rumours, a listing has been spotted on an Austrian site which confirms the existence of such a card, but at a very odd price.

RTX 3050 6GB Listing

A listing for the RTX 3050 6GB was spotted by computerbase.de at the Austrian e-tailer e-tec.at which lists an MSI RTX 3050 Ventus 2X 6G OC alongside a list of specifications though no images. The listing shows a price of €245,15 ($265.69) which is quite an odd price seeing as it is basically within the same price range as the existing 8GB 3050, as an example this Palit StormX model at the same website costs €242,70.

Based on existing information, (Via VideoCardz) the card is expected to be priced around $179 (€165) so it’s quite a sizable difference meaning it’s likely this pricing is just a temporary placement. Aside from its drop from 8GB to 6GB of GDDR6 memory, this model is also expected to see a reduced memory bus from 128-bit to 96 -bit, a reduced base clock down to 1042 MHz from 1510 MHz, and a reduced boost clock down to 1470 MHz from 1760 MHz. This drop also allows for a TDP decrease to 70W so the card could be released without power connectors, in small form factors and maybe even with passive cooling based on some rumours of a passive Palit KalmX variant of the card.

Rumours are pointing towards a February 2024 release date though I don’t imagine it being a popular release.
