More rumours surrounding the 16GB variant of the RTX 4060 Ti have been leaked.
It was recently revealed that NVIDIA is planning to release a 16GB variant of the RTX 4060 Ti and is mostly expected to feature the same specifications with the card featuring just double the amount of RAM. However, information has been discovered by VideoCardz to say otherwise. With the card using more memory, it is expected that power consumption will also increase though surprisingly not by much. The 16GB variant is rumoured to see just a 5W increase to 165W compared to the 8GB variant at 160W. Not only has power consumption increased but the GPU itself has also been altered. The 8GB variant is expected to use an AD106-350 chip and the 16GB variant is rumoured to instead use an AD106-351 chip. This GPU change is unlikely to make much and was likely required to accommodate the increased RAM.
Currently, we are expecting to see the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB variant revealed on May 24th and the 16GB variant later on in July alongside the RTX 4060 so we don’t have much longer to wait.
