Looking at F1 23, being made by Codemasters and in conjunction with AMD, I’m not surprised that the 7800 XT comes in 18% faster at 1080p and a slightly healthier 20% faster at 1440p. Now at such a high framerates, you’re unlikely to notice any difference between the two GPUs, but as we’re talking performance figures, AMD do come out on top.
With Ray Tracing, as expected, we see NVIDIA holding the lead by 9% at 1080p and a slightly higher 11% at 1440p and with much stronger 1% low figures. Now considering F1 23 is typically AMD biased, this is a good result for NVIDIA who typically do have better Ray Tracing performance but still falls short of the mark when factoring in the cost of buying each of the GPUs we’re looking at today.
