Rumor Has It That Diablo 3 and Fortnite Might Receive Switch Ports

Diablo 3 and Fortnite heading to the Nintendo Switch?

We know that Nintendo’s new console is capable of running relatively demanding titles. One of the most important ones, Zelda: Breath of the Wild had a few issues here and there, but the game was definitely playable. There have been quite a few rumors lately concerning major games that would receive Switch ports. One of the most recent ones comes courtesy of insider Marcus Sellars. He claims that he has heard chatter about ports for Diablo 3 and Fortnite.

Apparently, the Diablo 3 version would come out in the early months of 2019. Moreover, Blizzard wants to facilitate local play with multiple consoles. Sounds good, but we’ll just have to wait and see if there’s any truth to this.

What about Fortnite?

Battle Royale fans will definitely be more interested in a Fortnite port. Well, this one would come out a bit earlier in August/September. As with Diablo 3, nothing is confirmed at the time of writing. However, Epic’s Worldwide Creative Director, Donald Mustard, stated that he was open to a Fortnite Switch port in January. Furthermore, Marcus Sellars has some credibility, as he did leak other important information earlier this year. For example, he brought up Soul Calibur 6 and Black Ops 4.
