AMD’s RX Vega cards, released in August, proved a disappointment to many, especially compared to NVIDIA’s GeForce 10 cards. However, shocking new benchmarks revealed that RX Vega 64 outperforms the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti playing the forthcoming Forza 7. According to ComputerBase.de, RX Vega 64 beats out the GTX 1080 Ti by up to 23% running Forza 7 in DX12.
System Specifications
ComputerBase.de reveals the test system specifications and requisite drivers:
“The graphics card benchmarks were performed on a 4.3 GHz Intel Core i7-6850K (6 cores), equipped with a total of 16 gigabytes of memory at a speed of DDR4-3000 in quad-channel mode. The drivers were the Crimson ReLive 17.9.3 or the GeForce 385.69 installed. Both drivers are officially optimized for Forza 7.
For the processor benchmarks, consideration was given to the most equivalent systems in terms of memory expansion and memory speed. The LGA 1151 CPUs were powered on the Asus Z270 Deluxe, while the Ryzen system used the Asus ROG Crosshair VI Hero with the latest BIOS.”
