RX Vega Price to Increase Significantly
Ashley Allen / 7 years ago
As if getting your hands on an AMD RX Vega graphics card wasn’t hard enough, the hardware’s price is about to shoot up. The RX Vega 64 launched yesterday, but the £449.99 card sold out within minutes. But there’ll be more stock at some point, right? More than likely, yes. However, when RX Vega 64 becomes available again, expect to pay up to £100 more than the launch price.
RX Vega Price
According to OCUK, the £449.99 price is thanks to an AMD rebate. That rebate, though, only counted for early sales. Now that the RX Vega 64 is effectively sold out, “early sales” are close to an end. If that’s the case, future RX Vega 64 sales will be without AMD’s rebate. Therefore, expect prices to rise significantly soon.
OCUK Speaks
OCUK’s Gibbo says:
“[T]he good news is AMD are rebating early launch sales to allow us to hit £449.99 on the stand alone black card which has no games. This is a launch only price which AMD at present are saying will be withdrawn in the near future, when if it happens is unknown, but remember do not be shocked if the price jumps nearly £100 in a few days.
This time round there is no early adopter tax, quite the opposite on the stand alone black card, so do be quick.”
The RX Vega price is going up, so if want AMD’s new graphics card you’d better get a move on.
