Ryzen 5600X3D To Be Micro Center Exclusive

Earlier in the month we saw a leak surrounding the Ryzen 5600X3D which was in the works, today we finally have information on this product but for those not in the US it isn’t good news.
Ryzen 5 5600X3D Micro Center Exclusive
As revealed by Micro Center themselves, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D will be an exclusive launch in the US for MicroCenter stores which is very unfortunate for the rest of the world. The chip will feature the same 6-core 12-thread design of the 5600X but will come with the inclusion of 3D V-Cache with 96MB of L3 Cache. The chip features a lower base and boost clock than the 5600X at 3.3GHz and 4.4 GHz respectively but of course, makes up for it with 3D V-Cache. This chip has also had an increase in its TDP from 65W to 105W which is the same as the 5800X3D and 5800X.
What MicroCenter Had To Say
“At Micro Center, we are thrilled to partner with AMD and introduce the limited-edition AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D processor to our valued customers,” said Warren Beneson, Chief Merchandising Officer at Micro Center. “We are committed to delivering exceptional value to gamers, and the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D processor embodies that commitment. It offers an unparalleled gaming experience at an unbeatable price point. With this exclusive offering, gamers can push the boundaries of performance and elevate their gaming endeavors to new heights. We are thrilled to bring this extraordinary opportunity to our valued customers.”
Price and Availability
This CPU will launch for the price of $229 which is a bit less than where I was predicting at £200 which is around $250. On the other hand, it is $40 more than the 5800X on Micro Center’s website which currently is priced at $189.99, so whether the price is worth it is debatable.
This CPU will be available from July 7th in Micro Center stores throughout the US.
