Package and Accessories
You don’t need a huge package for an M.2 2280 drive, so the Sabrent Rocket NVMe drive comes in a small box. When you pick it up the first time, it will seem quite heavy when you compare it to other drives, but that is because it is packed in a metal box. But we’ll get to that in a bit as we have to unwrap it first. The whole thing is packed in a plastic wrapping to make sure that the drive, as well as the box, arrives in good condition at your place.
Once unwrapped, you get a clean look at the exterior cardboard box. The front features the name, type, and capacity as well as an image of the included drive.
The rear side has about the same information as well as the model number, bar code, and necessary certifications. There’s also a product link where you can read more about the details online.
After removing the outer cardboard box, you’re presented with the metal container which I mentioned above. While the box isn’t important for the drive as such, it does give the whole thing a premium feeling right from the start.
There is a sticker wrapped around the box which showcases the drive and capacity on the front.
On the rear, you once again find the model number, capacity, product link, certifications, and bar code.
Opening up the box and we see the drive itself, firmly seated in a foam for a secure transfer.
Inside the box is small installation guide as well as the drive itself.
The quality of the packaging is continued in the installation manual which is in full-colour print with photos.
