Safari’s Crash Issue Has Been Resolved According to Apple

Recently, many users have reported problems with Apple’s Safari web browser, issues that caused the service to crash on several platforms, including iPads, iPhones and Macs. The issue was reported by users from all over the world, which means that it affected quite a lot of devices, but it’s also worth noting that it did not affect absolutely all Apple users. Apparently, whenever someone tried to type something in Safari’s search bar, the browser would crash and the device would return to the home screen. As you can probably imagine, this can get annoying very fast. The culprit was most likely the app’s search suggestions feature, which offers suggestions for potential searches whenever a word is being typed in.

The good news is that Apple has managed to fix the issue rather quickly, but just in case you’re still experiencing these problems, you should definitely go ahead and delete Safari’s data from the settings app. This is surely not the first time that one of Apple’s apps has been behaving strangely and it probably won’t be the last. On the other hand, as long as the bug in question didn’t compromise users’ privacy or security, I guess it didn’t do too much harm.
