After taking number one spot in its release week the latest UK Games Press charts reveal that Saints Row IV holds its position as the best selling UK video game. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist also manages to keep a hold on the second spot in the charts. Furthermore, there are a few new entries such as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Rayman Legends and Madden NFL 25.
505 Games’s PayDay 2 seems to have had a good week jumping up from 18th spot to 9th spot. Minecraft’s Xbox 360 Edition drops a place to 5th but still does incredibly well given its age.
Saints Row IV though is the big story and it delivered 1 million copies to gamers worldwide during its first launch week. Reviews so far have generally been very favourable and Saints Row IV looks like the “in game” right now if you’re looking for a good game to keep you busy before Grand Theft Auto V launches on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 17th – that is sure to be a chart topper.
