Steam has just announced that anyone who has pre-ordered Saints Row 4 will now be able to pre-load the game in advance of this weekend’s release. Gamers can log into their Steam account and download the game in advance of the release date which is August 20th in North America and August 23rd for the rest of the world.
“Pre-Orderers” get the special option of being able to have a few days in advance to download the files so that as soon as the day of their regional availability comes they can start playing the game right away. No doubt there will be a lot of non-European residents using some nifty VPN and region changing tricks to gain access to the game tomorrow.
As already mentioned previously the Australian version of this game will be cut down and will not be able to play Co-op multiplayer with the “rest of the world” versions.
