The Saints Row Reboot which initially launched exclusively to Epic Games in August 2022 is now available on Steam.
Saints Row 2022 is an attempted reboot of the much-loved franchise which slowly morphed itself from a “GTA Clone” in the first two games to a more characterful wacky and fun-focused experience in the 3rd and 4th games. Saints Row 2022 is a reboot of the franchise which has been dormant since 2013’s Saints Row IV and by Extension 2015’s Gat out of Hell standalone expansion.
This reboot looked to take upon most of the wacky and fun aspects from the third and fourth games but the first trailers were met with mostly scrutiny due to the lack of any notable characters and the “Fortnite-like” graphics. Whilst the initial reveal trailer didn’t give much hope, the preceding gameplay trailers instilled some hope for a good game but all of that seemed to disappear on launch day with fans generally not happy. Some complaints were in regards to performance and bugs whilst others were down to the gameplay just not being as fun as expected.
One of the problems was with Epic Exclusivity which most of us hate and that today has been resolved as the game is now available on Steam for £16.99 until August 31st. This is a considerable discount from its £49.99 price tag which I may just take advantage of to see if the game is as bad as people say.
Update: Saints Row is not as bad as people say.
