The story is ridiculous, not just in the sense that it’s bad either, it’s so over the top and difficult to explain that it really has to be seen to be believed. While the plot is way past immature and stupid it’s immensely entertaining and only exists to serve you with crazy dialogue and reasons to do the stupid things that follow.
Voice acting is flawless in this game, which is a very welcome thing given the massive amounts of dialogue that it contains. The characters are “colourful” with their language a lot of the time and most of the context in this game really isn’t for the easily offended but then again if your easily offended in general you may not want to play a free roaming crime sim anyway.
Gone are the days of being a simple street gang, now its a media empire bent on being a household name but by no means laying off the crime side of their previous outings. What starts out as a simple bank robbery in the beginning of the game escalates into a grand story of honour, excess, ego boosting and pretty much an all out war of gangster vs the military as they wage war for the city streets. It’s not going to have you shedding a tear with its love stories but if you can see past the frequent sex related jokes then there is actually a highly entertaining plot to carry the game along, no matter how ridiculous it is.
