Deep Silver Volition has just released the official system requirements for Saints Row! While I’m still on the fence on if I like the look of the reboot or not, at least we’re getting some heads up on what to expect in regards to the game’s performance. So, let’s take a quick look at the settings and hardware!
As you can see above, for 1080p, you’ll be looking at an Intel Core i7-6700k, or an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X, which is basically any decent quad-core from the last 5-6 years really. Furthermore, you’ll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or an AMD Radeon RX 5700, with at least 8GB of VRAM. That’s actually pretty modest too, but likely older equivalents such as a 980 Ti, or a 4000 series may still cut it too. You can target 30 FPS with an i3, or even an RX480 too, if you must, but personally, I’d sooner drop to 720P to keep the frame rate up.
High gets a lot more serious rather quickly, with a modern Ryzen 5 or Core i7 required for 60 FPS at 1440 resolution. That’ll take an RTX 2080 or RX 6700 XT, which may be last gen, but still powerful cards in their own respects.
For 4K, the sky is the limit, wanting the latest CPUs from AMD and Intel camps, and of course, current gen cards, such as the 3080 Ti or the RX 6800 XT.
So, do you think you’ll be maxing this one out, or targeting some lower settings? Let us know in the comments!
