Samsung and Google teasing us with their Nexus Prime

According to Samsung and Good “something big is coming”. Or at least that’s what they’re teasing us with in their video.

Next week is supposed to see the unveiling of the Nexus Prime, on October 11 during the “Unpacked” event in San Diego.

Expected to feature the “Ice Cream Sandwich” version of Android, unfortunately the surprise may have been spoiled, as specs and a side photo of the smartphone itself have been leaked.

The photo isn’t exactly leaked, as you can see it in the video, this version features more lighting which reveals it slightly better.

The specs on the other hand are rather interesting:

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 9mm thin
  • 4.65-inch 1280 x 720-pixel Super AMOLED HD with curved glass
  • TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 32GB of built-in storage
  • 5-megapixel camera on the back, 1.3-megapixel in the front
  • 1080p HD video capture support
  • LTE/HSPA depending on carrier
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
  • NFC
  • 1,750 mAh battery

Some very interesting specifications we’ve got here, while some are rather standard we notice a screen resolution rivaling the iPhone 4 itself.

Once again, just like any other awaited smartphone, these can’t be taken for granted, since we expected to see more of an iPhone 5 than an iPhone 4S the other day, remember those amazing (fan/artist made) concepts we saw?

We shall see what Google and Samsung have in store for us next week.
