Samsung Portable SSD T9 2TB Review

Straight away this drive is hitting some fantastic figures, with a read speed that’s already in excess of the 2000 MB/s we were expecting. Now, keep in mind that the PC, laptop, camera, drone, or whatever you hook this up to will vary in what it is capable of delivering, but if you have a system that can make the most of this drive, it’s clearly very capable.
What is interesting is just how good these scores are, already well in excess of the Lexar Blaze we reviewed recently in terms of write speed, and scoring +1500 more than the Lexar in the Anvil benchmark.
The speed scales surprisingly well too, with the drive able to get up to high write speeds from 512 KB writes and upwards, so it should handle many small files as well as it does larger file transfers.
Finally, we have AS SSD, which again shows very strong read speeds and almost identical write speeds for Sequential testing, and a fast access time, as you would expect from a modern SSD.
