Back in June, we previewed Samsung’s drool-worthy ultra-wide 49-inch curved monitor. Now, the company is gearing up for the CHG90’s imminent release. The display boasts a 32:9 aspect ratio and a 1800R curvature. In addition, it features a 3,840 x 1,080 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. As such, the CHG90 is sure to prove a monster for gaming. Though, the lack of 4K resolution is sure to disappoint some. However, whether you’re a gamer or a professional, the screen is an effective replacement for dual-screen arrangements.

Samsung’s Ultra-Wide 49-Inch Curved Monitor – Dual Monitor Replacement
While the CHG90 will appeal to gamers, Samsung stresses that its ultra-wide screen will benefit professionals, too. Specifically, the display’s length provides users with requisite space to replicate dual monitor solutions. Samsung says:
“The CHG90’s spacious design and powerful performance make it equally suitable for work and play. The intuitive Easy Setting Box screen-division software is especially useful for multitasking, allowing users to, with a simple click, divide their screen into multiple windows of varying sizes by utilizing customizable window configurations.
Those who use dual-monitor setups will often connect different devices to each screen to manage them side by side. The CHG90’s Picture-by-Picture (PBP) function supports the simultaneous connection of two external inputs, essentially allowing the monitor to serve as two separate screens for different devices.
This functionality makes it possible for users to, for instance, set up two separate workspaces by connecting their monitor to both their DeX Station and their personal computer.”
