Samsung is preparing a new handset, known as the Galaxy J1 as its first real threatening budget smartphone. After the Galaxy A and Galaxy E series of smartphones, the South Korean giant is reportedly working on a new Galaxy J line up that will enter the low-end Android market.
The Galaxy J1 should feature a 64-bit CPU in the form of the Marvel PXA1908 at 1.2GHz, LTE capabilities, an 800×480 4.3-inch WVGA display, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage and an 1850mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy J1 will launch with Android 4.4.4 KitKat, with no plans on an Android 5.0 Lollipop update just yet.
