Samsung has begun showing off it new curved quantum dot display ahead of its public unveiling at CES 2017. The CH711 is aimed at gamers, comes in 27-inch and 35-inch models – both with 1440p resolution – and boasts 1,800R curvature, 178o viewing angle, and 125% sRBG coverage.
The display features Samsung’s Gaming UX user interface and advanced calibration options designed to complement a plethora of game genres, including FPS, RTS, RPG, and AOS. The CH711 uses Picture-by-Picture (PBP) technology to load visual content from any HDMI of DisplayPort source and position it anywhere on the screen, plus Picture-in-Picture (PIP) technology to resize content without losing resolution.
“Today’s multimedia consumers, quite rightly, have high expectations and demand a truly cutting edge, totally immersive experience that realizes the full potential of whatever they are playing or watching,” Seoggi Kim, Senior Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, said. “This year’s line-up of curved Quantum Dot monitors offers brilliant design, richer color and deeper contrast than ever before. We can’t wait to share them with the world at CES 2017 in Las Vegas.”
Samsung is yet to reveal price or availability for CH711, but we should find out at CES in Las Vegas this coming January where the monitor will be exhibited alongside Samsung’s UH750 and SH850 new quantum dot display monitors.
