Samsung Reveals Portable T5 EVO SSD With Large 8TB Capacity

Today Samsung has revealed its new portable T5 EVO SSD with a massive 8TB capacity within a compact format.

The T5 EVO is Samsung’s latest portable SSD which utilises USB 3.2 Gen 1 to provide data transfer speeds up to 3.8 times faster than external HDDs with sequential read & write speeds of up to 460 MB/s. It features capacities of up to 8TB allowing users to store an immense amount of data within a small pocket-sized format. It measures 95 x 40 x 17mm (WxLxD) and weighs 102g and features a black frame with a titan grey ring for an overall premium look that can be strapped to a backpack. The metal body and rubberized surface also work to protect against external shocks giving you confidence when accidents happen.

Price and Availability
The T5 EVO — available in 2TB, 4TB and 8TB sizes — comes with a USB Type-C-to-C cable and includes a
three-year limited warranty. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) are £159.99 for the 2TB,
£294.99 for the 4TB and £538.99 for the 8TB. The T5 EVO will be available in December.
