Samsung Reveals The World’s First Dual UHD Gaming Monitor, 57″ Odyssey Neo G9

Samsung has revealed its new Odyssey Neo G9 57″ as the world’s first Dual UHD gaming monitor.

Odyssey Neo G9 57″

The Odyssey Neo G9 5″ has been designed to deliver enhanced performance and sharper visuals in a super wide 32:9 aspect ratio. The display boasts the world’s first Dual Ultra-high-definition screen with a 1000R curvature wrapping the user and immersing them into their games with a wide field of view. It makes use of Quantum Mini LED lighting with DisplayHDR 1000 offering sharp contrasts and vivid HDR content with accurate colour and contrast. The gaming experience is also very fast with a 240Hz refresh rate giving a competitive edge in fast-paced titles, this high refresh rate is also aided by AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

Additional Features

This display also offers DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity alongside HDMI 2.1 facilitating the smooth 240Hz refresh rates. Additionally, the display comes with a USB hub for hooking up devices directly to the monitor reducing cable clutter.

New Upgraded Odyssey Ark

Samsung has also upgraded its Odyssey Ark as the world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved screen. This monitor builds upon the success of the original massive Odyssey Ark and has improved it based on the feedback of customers. The monitor features a 165 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms GTG response time plus the Cockpit mode provides a whole new perspective in vertical orientation. One of the key new features for this display is the addition of Samsung Multi View which allows for up to 4 inputs on screen at once with input from three HDMI ports and one DP 1.4 port simultaneously.

What Samsung Had To Say

“The world of gaming is constantly evolving, and our latest monitor technology is crucial for gamers to open new doors to adventure and perform their best. Samsung’s monitor leadership is further boosted by our newest Odyssey monitors, which unlock the ultimate level of immersion and create new experiences for gamers worldwide,” said Hoon Chung, EVP of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Gamescom is where the future of gaming is built. We can’t imagine a better place to showcase the future of monitors.”
