Samsung has today announced an expansion to its ViewFinity Monitor lineup with its new 27″ ViewFinity S9 with a 5K resolution aimed at those in graphics design and photography.

Samsung ViewFinity S9

The ViewFinity S9 is a 27-inch 5K 5120×2880 display which offers even more screen real estate than other UHD monitors. The exceptional picture and text clarity make this monitor ideal for professionals working with high-resolution content and offers a 99% DCI-P3, 218 PPI, TUV-Certified Eye Care features and 600 cd/m2 brightness for working in various lighting conditions. For those who want good colour clarity, this monitor has been factory calibrated for Delta E <21 accuracy right out of the box plus uses the Smart Calibration feature controlled from your phone.

Features

The visual performance of the display is aided by a variety of features designed to make professionals’ lives easier starting with connectivity. The S9 is fitted with Thunderbolt 4 allowing for up to 90W of power and transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps. Alongside Thunderbolt 4 are some mini DisplayPort inputs. For those working from home, this display comes equipped with a convenient built-in 4K SlimFit camera which connects via a pogo pin without the need for any additional cables or equipment. The camera delivers fantastic quality plus tilts to fit the angle of your monitor and uses Auto Framing technology to keep you in shot.

Ergonomics

For professionals, ergonomics is important and has been taken into consideration here. Alongside the TUV-Certified Intelligent Eye Care features, the display also features Samsung’s Matte Display which limited light reflection and glare. Alongside this the slim metal design works well in almost any space and provides height adjustability, 90-degree pivot and other adjustments plus can be fitted to alternative stands with VESA mount compatibility.
