The patent war rages on, as Apple’s new ‘soldier’ enters the battlefield, Samsung retaliates with a ‘weapon’ of their own.
As a matter of fact, Samsung have announced that today, October 5, they will file two separate preliminary injunction against Paris in France and Milano in Italy.
Each will request the block of the iPhone 4S sales in both countries due to the violations of two patent infringements related to wireless telecommunications technology, more precisely Wireband Code Division Multiple Access (or WCDMA) standard for 3G mobile handsets.
To be short, this is basically an essential technology for the correct functioning of the telecom networks and devices.
Samsung believes that Apple’s violation is being too severe and that the iPhone 4S should be banned from sales.
“Apple has continued to flagrantly violate our intellectual property rights and free ride on our technology. We believe it is now necessary to take legal action to protect our innovation,” stated Samsung.
I don’t know about you guys, but this is really starting to get old. When are today’s younger generations supposed to learn they should ‘grow up’? Seriously.
