Samsung has been hit with a $303 Million fine due to an infringement of several patents related to improvements in data processing.
In an article from Reuters, it was revealed that Computer memory company Netlist Inc had taken Samsung to court and had managed to convince a Texas jury to award it more than $303 Million because of Samsungs memory modules infringing on five patents that Netlist owned. Netlist alleged that Samsung took the patented module technology after the companies had worked together on a previous project.
This claim was originally filed back in 2021 and to defend themselves Samsung claimed that the patents were invalid and that Samsung’s technology worked in a different way than the inventions from Netlist. I wonder what else Samsung has stolen over the years.
