Samsung has revealed that a 4TB model for its 990 Pro NVMe SSD is on the way offering blazing fast speeds in a higher capacity.
Samsung today announced on X that the 4TB model of the flagship 990 Pro SSD is on the way. This SSD will offer the high speeds of the 990 Pro SSD which are up to 7,450 MB/s sequential read and up to 6,900 MB/s sequential write on its existing 1TB and 2TB models. This SSD is also said to feature 1,400K IOPS Random Read and 1,550K IOPS Random Write which is on par with the 2TB variant of the SSD. Like the other capacity variants, this one will also come with the option of a slim heatsink to ensure it runs cool.
Currently Samsung hasn’t shared any pricing or a date for availability but based on the current market it will be upwards of £300. Additionally this SSD will come with a 5 year limited warranty and a endurance rating of 2400 TBW.
