Samsung Unveils New Odyssey Gaming Monitors, Including 27-Inch Glasses-Free 3D Monitor
Samsung has revealed its latest Odyssey gaming monitors, which include the new 27-inch glasses-free 3D monitor. These new models are available in 27, 32, and 49 inches, featuring OLED panels and cutting-edge technology. The new Odyssey lineup is designed for gamers looking for immersive experiences in 2025, with options suitable for every player.
27-Inch Glasses-Free 3D Monitor
The standout feature in this new series is the 27-inch Odyssey 3D monitor that offers 3D visuals without the need for special glasses. Using eye-tracking technology and a lenticular lens, the monitor delivers high-definition 3D images and natural colors. Samsung is working with game developers to optimize several titles for this technology, with Nexon and Neowiz already collaborating on games like The First Berserker: Khazan and Lies of P with downloadable content.
This monitor also features AI-based video conversion that allows 2D videos to be converted into 3D. With a 4K resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and compatibility with AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync, it’s designed to provide smooth and responsive gameplay. Additionally, it has Edge Lighting to enhance the immersive experience while gaming.
Odyssey G8 with OLED Panel
Another notable model in the Odyssey lineup is the Odyssey G8, which features an OLED panel. Available in 27 and 32 inches, it boasts a 166 PPI density for the 27-inch version. The Odyssey G8 offers 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, perfect for smooth, high-performance gaming. With OLED Safeguard+ protection and dynamic cooling, this monitor ensures durability. It also includes VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400, Glare Free technology, and supports both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync to eliminate screen tearing.
49-Inch Ultra-Wide Odyssey G9
For gamers seeking an ultra-wide display, Samsung presents the Odyssey G9, a 49-inch ultrawide monitor with Dual QHD resolution and a 1000R curvature. This large screen is perfect for an all-encompassing gaming experience. It features a 144Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and certification for VESA DisplayHDR 600 and HDR10+ GAMING. With PbP (Picture by Picture) and PiP (Picture in Picture) technology, you can display content from two devices simultaneously.
Though prices are yet to be announced, these monitors are now available for pre-order, except for the G9 model.
