2012 seems to be the determined year for the ultrabook, some having already made their way to the market prior to the year, Samsung is now targeting a clientèle that needs something a bit bigger than the 13″ most commonly found. Enters the 15″ Series 9.
Featuring a 15″ antiglare display with resolution of 1600×900, it’s small bezel is said to give this ultrabook a 14″ footprint. However no real dimension and weight have been released.
Inside you find a 1.6GHz Core i5-2467M processor (2.3GHz on Turbo), 8GB of DDR3 memory along with a 128GB SSD. A single USB 3.0 port and WiDi support are included.
Price wise, it’s not the cheapest you will find, setting you back $1,499, however with the word of Apple and an “ultra slim notebook” patent, the current lawsuit “killstreak” the company is collecting may mean the days of the ultrabook are counted even before they get popular.
