Adding another product to the HD 6000 series, Sapphire is targeting the HTPC market with the HD 6670 Low Profile.
With the name giving it away, Sapphire has based the HD 6670 on a low profile PCB directed at the HTPCs, for which Sapphire claims to produce the first and only graphic card featuring its specifications and single slot cooler at the same time.
The specs are more than reasonable for its targeted market, with 480 stream processors and 24 texture units, the HD 6670 is clocked at 800MHz equipped with 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 4000MHz.
The cooler mentioned above is an single slot that covers pretty much the entirety of the PCB with the combination between a heatsink cooled by a small fan.
Connectivity wise, it isn’t lacking the most popular, that is HDMI, DVI and S-Sub, making it a perfect choice for a HTPC.
While price and availability haven’t been announced yet, I suppose we could hazard a guess at a retail price around $80 more or less.
